Blessing of the Pets – September 30

Many people enjoy the special blessing of having animal companions and pets as part of their lives. Christian tradition holds up Francis of Assisi as a follower of Christ who had a special relationship with the “creatures of the earth,” and in early October, many churches set aside a time to recognize and bless these special gifts in people’s lives. On Sunday, September 29 at 12:30pm (after services), members and friends of HOP are invited to return to church with their animals for an outdoor service of prayers and thanksgiving.
